Microwave Oven|How do they work? | Working Principle of Microwave ovens

MICROWAVE OVEN - THE WORKING PRINCIPLE:

Normally microwave oven consists of a device called magnetron which converts electric energy into waves. These waves may pass through the food and excite out the water molecules, fats and sugars etc., But in case of conventional ovens the heat may pass into the food from outside causing more heat in the outer surface resulting in uneven heating of food. In case of microwave oven, as the waves passes inside the food materials resulting  in the equal heating of the food. Because of the waves penetrate inside, it also saves time as compared to conventional ovens.
