Why we love seeing other people fail?
Schadenfreude:
Normally, we experience joy at someones misfortune once in a while. Because we are humans. Schadenfreude is an enjoyment derived from another person's misfortune. This due to the hormones that activate in our brain. The striatum, the anterior cingulate cortex and the amygdala contains dopamine which activates during that moment. We can stand off from schadenfreude by keeping friendly relationship with our fellows and friends. We may get rid of this evil mind by practicing yoga and meditation. Now a new word called shrooov is trending in tamilnadu which is an emotion expressed out jealously combined with an evil plan of attack. This term was first used in the tamil movie Coimbatore mappilai in 1996 by actor Karan who is commonly called Karan anna by his fans and rediscovered by Karanians in 2018. Hope they will send this word to add in oxford dictionary too.
